Silver pond on cobalt blue Pendant
This one is about the size of a Nickle and on cobalt blue with a silver pond in the center.
This lovely pendant is made of Dichroic Fused Glass which is a dynamic, alluring material that captivates anyone who gazes upon it. It has oxygenated metal in the glass and the word "Dichroic" means two colors. As you turn the glass you will see the colors change making my jewelry visually stunning and once you wear it you become an extension of my art!!! For your next jewelry purchase my dichro jewelry will enthrall and amazing you as well as those you see it.
I make each piece by hand in my Phoenix Studio. The glass is very expensive and I am like a kid in a candy store when I see it. People ask how I make it. Well I score it with a glass cutter and design it and layer the glass stacking it carefully on top of each piece of glass. Once I fill up a tray, which takes about 12 -16 hours, I VERY carefully place the tray in a Kiln hoping not to move a single piece of glass or sneeze....otherwise I have to start all over again. Then I fire it at 1400 degrees for 12 hours and the glass is ready to be made into art or jewelry of mirrors.
